ABS-CBN Star Magic continues to discover and hone new talents, paving the road to stardom for them. Now on its 14th year. Star Magic is proud to introduce four very promising new faces who’re expected to follow in the footsteps of leading men and matinee idols like Piolo Pascual, Diether Ocampo and John Lloyd Cruz. Here they are:

VICTOR BASA

He’s no “cutie” (the term Star Magic describes its new batch of would-be stars) to us but a hunk. Anyway, Victor Basa never imagined himself doing other things aside from modelling. He was first seen in a fashion show at the Mega Young Designer Competition and was last given the title Best Model Form in the MTV Fashionista 2004. His name and face are familiar in the business as he is seen in billboards and magazines, especially with him being one of Penshoppe’s image models. He was also included in Cosmo’s Ten Bachelors, Candy Cuties and Chalk Magazine’s Today’s Hottest Models. Even before becoming a ramp model, 20-year-old Victor had wanted to try acting (whether in theater or in the movies or TV), he said. He’s very happy now because he never expected that Star Magic would notice him. Because he thought he did not have the look and the personality to be a star. Well, he’s wrong…

CHRIS GUTIERREZ

Chris Gutierrez is no stranger to show business. Being the grandson of showbiz legends Gloria Romero and the late Juancho Gutierrez, he considers it a blessing to have gotten the showbiz pedigree of his grandparents. It is no surprise then that he developed an interest of joining the business as he grew up watching old movies of his Lola Gloria and Lolo Juancho. He knows he could make his own mark because he is good dancer and can act. Fourteen-year old Chris is aware that it will be hard to juggle his studies and career but he will persevere and work hard because of the passion he has for both. There might be sacrifices along the way but he knows and he believes that it will be worth it.

ANGELO PATRIMONIO

There’s no doubt that Angelo James Patrimonio is the son of legend basketball player Alvin Patrimonio. This young six-footer may not have played in the hardcourt like his dad but he knows that he could make a name in another field. He was into tennis and has competed in local tournaments. Now, he is embarking on a new career and dreams of making it big as an actor someday. He may not be lucky to have made it to the PBB Teen Edition but he won the attention of Star Magic’s Mr. M. He clearly remembers the first time he auditioned for the said reality search show and he considers it an unforgettable experience. Admittedly, Angelo is nervous but he knows he will learn and adapt to the ropes of showbiz along the way.

AJ PEREZ

AJ Perez was first launched as one of the members of Star Circle Batch 13. His Milo commercial paved the way to his entry into showbix as it was in that commercial where he caught the eye of the ABS-CBN bosses. He had no idea he could be getting their attention this early but he is very thankful to have been given the break. He grabbed the rare opportunity and is really enjoying being on camera. He hopes to be a stand out among his peers in the field of drama. Just a year after his first introduction with the Batch 13, AJ is fast developing into matinee idol material. His good looks and charm surely complement his talents, thus ensuring his evemtial rise to stardom.
