“I shall return.”
Determined to be back in Big Brother’s house within 24 hours, celebrity housemate Gretchen Malalad uttered this famous line as she bade goodbye to her housemates this morning to face Philippine Air Force’s (PAF) summary investigation on her AWOL status in the military service.
Blindfolded and dressed in military attire, the karate chick left Big Brother’s house at 8:13AM. She was airlifted to the ENA-IC hangar in Manila Domestic Airport and then transported via a vehicle to PAF’s General Headquarters in Villamor Air Base.
In what could be her final confession, Gretchen Malalad disclosed that she is determined to beat the 24-hour deadline set by Big Brother. She hopes to be back in Kuya’s house as soon as possible.
“Kung hindi po ako makakabalik, at least na experience ko po yung makapunta d2 sa bahay niyo at maka-meet ako ng bagong kaibigan ko na maituturing kong mga kapatid ko, mga kapamilya ko. Masaya naman yun naging experience,” Gretchen said when asked by Big Brother what would she feel if in case she wouldn’t be able to return to his house.
Just like Gretchen, Big Brother also hopes that the summary investigation would yield positive results for the karate chick. “Sana ay maging maayos ang magiging pakikipag-usap mo sa mga officer na makakausap mo ngayong araw na ito. At sana ay makabalik ka sa aking bahay sa loob ng bente kwatro oras, ipagdarasal ko na makabalik ka.” Big Brother disclosed during Gretchen’s confession.
Aside from complying with the 24-hour deadline, Big Brother also reiterated to Gretchen to fulfill the other condition that he set regarding his decision to let her temporarily leave the house. “Ipapaalala ko lang sa’yo Gretchen na wala kang maaaring makasalamuhang ibang tao maliban lang sa mga taong involved sa summary investigation.”
If Gretchen fails to meet these two conditions, Big Brother will never let her enter his house again.
“See you later”
Before Gretchen left Kuya’s house, the housemates gathered to show their support for the troubled housemate. Bianca refused to say goodbye and instead told Gretchen, “No goodbyes, just see you later.” The other housemates also encouraged the karate chick to remain strong amidst the predicament that she is currently facing.
Rustom, one of Gretchen’s closest friends in Kuya’s house, stayed in the altar area after Gretchen left. He read the Bible and prayed hard for his friend.
PAF’s summary investigation started at nine this morning. Gretchen, who holds the rank of Airwoman Second Class in the Air Force, will be under PAF’s custody until the investigation is through.
