What can I say about Bicol aside from its sheer spicyness & majesty? well, the Mayon volcano’s a keeper, with its perfect cone & its picturesque view… added bonus is the Cagsawa church, you know the one that magically (or rather, tragically) sank under heaps of lahar?
Oh yah, & the flea market in Tabaco is more than just your average marketplace. you’ll find Bicol’s native Pili nuts there, bags, slippers & shirts to pirated VCDs worth twice as much as they are sold here… (no questions there, kaya lang naman mura dito kasi super dami nang nagbebenta ng ganon).
Mayon Volcano
Bicol also has great beaches (not bitches *tease*), not exactly Boracay material, but it’s nice compared to others, clear blue waters with nothing more than powdery sand to step on… So, no worries on stepping on foreign objects there…
oh, & if you’re planning to go there, might I suggest you try Bicol Express & Laing during your stay, just bring extra Diatabs or Immodium while you’re at it. Ü
And the Bulusan Lake is worth a visit too, just beware of wandering snakes & slippery walkways…

For someone who was basically disappointed with the whole tour, I sure am glad I went there anyway, ‘coz the beauty that is Bicol, can’t be surpassed by any dumb tour organizer, that’s for sure!

Ciao!
